Alu Cab vs A.R.E. Bed caps

I'm looking at the Alu-Cab Explorer Canopy and the A.R.E. CX Classic bed caps. Alu Cab is well tested aluminum made, but I like the lines of the A.R.E. CX Classic. Has anyone used the A.R.E. bed cap and how does it last with the off-road and overland travel?

I got to check out both at Overland and I will say the Alu-Cab won me over. The build quality is sturdy and the accessories available are awesome. Want a RTT down the road, Want a kitchen insert, want an awning? I know these things aren’t for everyone, but I feel like the modularity is a nice option to have.

I love my alu-cab. However, parents have to get imported. Someone broke in to rear panel, I was lucky enough there was a spare rear panel in stock but took a month to come in. The shop that had a alu-cab rep and they didn’t charge me for the panel, just install.
If I can do it again. I’d probably go super pacific, but that’s 3 times the cost of the alu cab

We bought the ARE for our '22 Max Tow. We looked at the Alu-Cab also but, decided that the classic cx met our needs the best.

The Gladiator gets towed behind our motorhome, so we didn't need to use a roof top tent or anything like that. We accessorized it with the fold up windows on the sides for easy access and had the Line-X coating on the outside. Hope this helps!

I have the ARE CX with all the options. Love it. Looks great. Had it off road several times JT fully flexed. No issues.
