When did you order yours? I also ordered a manual. I drove a JK and JL manual and its night and day. Hopefully the JT manual is similar to JL.

Can you provide drive reviews? Did I miss them somewhere? How do you like the m/t? How is the power overall? MPGs over the last few days? Thanks

My bad I thought you were saying you found and bought a m/t on the lot.

:giggle:Mine will be arriving at a dealer in 4-8 weeks. But you can’t have that one :giggle:

I never drove the automatic ones, but I love how the M/T feels on the JL. I am coming from a M/T BMW M3 V8 and I had no complaints with the JL M/T. To me the JK's M/T felt too loose and the gear to gear throws were miles apart.

Chapman in Las Vegas claims to have 3 manual transmission Gladiators on their website. I don't know if these are on the lot or in transit. When I did a search through cars.com it showed 4.

Anyone order a base Sport in manual? I heard from a dealer that the base + manual combo cannot be ordered at this time. Although I built it up on the Jeep site with that combo.
Jeep has, maybe, the most incompetent IT department. Period. They can’t open up a new model year of an existing vehicle for ordering without a week worth of website glitches. Then too, they complicate things further by doing an incremental slow rollout of options and trim levels. It helps to have a salesman that is willing to jump on the ordering configurator daily just to see how things are going.

This makes me think that they are not fully ready and qualified for various options but the demand is so high that their marketing department is pushing hard to release whatever is ready even if its incremental.

Same issue I am running into. I have requested builds for a manual base sport, but all include Package 23S which is the Sport S. Would love to get my base manual sport with soft top for under $33k .... if successful, I might have one of the cheapest builds of anyone

have 500 miles on it average 19mpg great power 6th gear on interstates is great and still pulls hard in 6th no regrets you will love it
I don't know what V8 you installed, but mine does not pull hard at all. First time I've had to downshift on hills since I had a 4 banger. Man I would love to have a 4.x L V8 or the diesel.

No regrets, but to say it pulls hard is an exaggeration of an exaggeration.

I've got a '21 JTR with the M6. As you can see from my profile photo, I also have a 392 Challenger SPWB. THAT car pulls hard. The Charger 3.6 GT in blue next to it with the same 3.6 I would call "gutsy" for a 3.6, but the Charger is a heavy car. Same engine, but very different driving experience. Both of those are automatics and the ZF is a great transmission. But... I missed rowing the gears in my old truck and my 1.4L turbo Dart. So I went with the M6 JTR. It drives like a truck. It is not a fast vehicle.
Complaints about it I have seen are that it is a light touch and is the weak link that lowers the towing capacity. Also, one does have to downshift a bit on hills with the M6. 6th is really for long flat stretches, 5th is like a normal overdrive. Both are really tall gears for mileage. 4th gives you lots of power and torque across almost all highway speeds. Sometimes I forget to shift up and I barely notice it because it cruises so nicely. It seems optimal cruising RPM for the engine is about 2100 plus or minus with this combo and the 4.1 rear end. I get same as sticker for mileage and slightly better on long road trips. The nice thing about the 3.6 is that it delivers almost all its torque from about 1800 RPM on up through near redline, over 5K RPM. So you can really wind it up and have fun and you shouldn't feel bad doing so. This is a really solid engine. Overall, I really like having the MT. It is just fun to drive, especially off road, but you have to pay attention to what you are doing. Which is also the fun part. When really loaded up (4 adults and full bed) I do have to run a lower gear and go to 3rd for short moments on steep hills but it is well within the capability of the engine and it never heats up even when straining, even up the grapevine on the 5 (6% grade, 5 miles). Based on how the same engine works on my Charger, I figure this is more a consequence of the gearing than anything else.

Hope this helps.
