Saw some drops on my driveway, looked underneath and this thing is leaking, and the snap ring isn't so hot looking either

I would expect it to be darker if transmission fluid.

That is the transmission heater. Most likely that is engine coolant leaking from one of the hoses, possibly from the gasket where the parts mate.

Thank you, I was able to crawl a little farther underneath and it appears to be leaking at the gasket, the hoses are dry. Is that the official name for it, transmission heater?

Yes, that is the name used in the Parts Catalog.

So it's not a trans. cooler, it's actually a heater? Odd. Those lines run up under the airbox and into the auxiliary trans. cooler at the top of the grille.

I assume that assembly controls the temperature both ways, heating via engine coolant and cooling via the cooler up front. But the name is correct, Heater, Transmission. Mopar part number 68233384AB.

Had a transmission seal already go out with less than 8k miles on it and the PDC box had to be replaced.

Had a puddle from my transmission as well. Transfer case seal went out with under 8k miles

Replaced with new under warranty, that's not a cheap part, sure glad I didn't have to pay for it.

So what was the part that needed replaced? My 2020 with 41 miles on it is leaking from somewhere between the transmission and transfer case.
