I’m very close to pulling the trigger on a softopper but I’m wondering if anyone that has gone down this road regretted their decision. I like the idea of having extra cargo space and I really like the general aesthetics but the cost and security are concerns.

My rendering….

Love mine. Passed up a killer deal on an alucab because I like the looks of the Softopper with the soft top.
It's more effort and less accessable/ less space than a hard top. I work out of mine day in and out and deal with it.
As far as thievery, my valuables are locked in a metal sliding tool storage.

We love ours. Perfect for getting lots of stuff in, while easily going back to an open bed in two minutes for extra tall loads. I feel like it’s a tonneau cover, but for big stuff. :) like this stuff for example. It obviously shut fine I just was excited about my new tires

I had a @Softopper on my old Dodge for several years, so when I had the opportunity to get the the Gladiator with a soft top it was my first big purchase. The fabric matches the factory top well, so it is very fitt I also got the cap top camper - which makes the bed long enough to sleep in.

The only thing I wish was better is the Softopper is about 2” shorter than the factory soft top. Would give me a little more head room if they matched.

Absolutely love mine, and use it every day. Super simple to fold down, and very versatile with it's removable front and rear windows.

How about I randomly have a different picture of your Jeep on my camera roll… It must’ve came up while I was searching softoppers. Yours looks very good.

The height difference looks like it will actually work out for me since my rack looks like it should fit right over it without modifying the uprights.

I'm torn between a soft topper and a hard top.

One of my use cases is bringing my dog with me in a crate in the way back. How well does it seal? He's pretty tough but I dont' want him freezing to death.

Is there anything that seals it between the top and the bed rails? How about the rear window.

Our dog loves it. Seals fine, but is not heated any more than any topper. Hard tops are just as cold as they’re not climate controlled.

I ordered a softopper back in October, took about 3 weeks to ship another week to my house, which wasn't to bad considering things today. So far pretty pleased with the results, Install was a breeze and the uses are endless. Great for hauling things around with some cover especially while we were moving. Primary use is for the dog, Ive cut out the window and need to either order the kit or find some clear vinyl to rig up. I'm in the process of wiring up a 12volt outlet in the bed and intend to get a 12volt heating pad to go under the dogs blanket.

I like this idea.

And now I regret not getting the 120V outlet in the back. A 120V heating pad is cheap and easy to find.

That’s five 37’s. :)
At first I was thinking you were some kind of clown car magician because I recently hauled 5 stock steelies and they barely fit. Then It occurred to me that I was only using 2/3 of the bed due to my trifold tonneau. Duh! ?
