I am changing the bushings in my Mojave shocks. I have changed tons of press in bushings in my life and never had a problem before. But these are impossible...
I am having a problem getting the bushing in past the outside lip, it basically tears. I have tried everything, grease, WD40, etc .. I am pressing them in with a 12 ton hydrolic press. They are OEM bushings...

So that is what I normally use on all the other shocks I change bushings on... But the Fox Mojave Shocks are on an angle.

Hey I just did these while modifying some 3.0’s.
I stuck them in a pot of boiling water with the eyelets. Tossed them on my press with a 30mm socket that I had laying around. Next time I might bevel the socket. I coated the eyelet and the bushing in super lube. The same tube I got from metalcloak with their arm rebuild kit. They Pushed through with easy. You have to push back and forth to get the flanges to flick out. And to center the bushing. I would give it 4/10 difficulty doing it this way.

Did you stick the bushings in the boiling water too?

Yes it

Yes! I first tried just the rod ends and a ton of grease zero luck. I originally froze the bushings thinking maybe they’d shrink a tiny bit. But I dropped in the pot for about 5 mins while I pondered if I could even do it. And they instantly pressed in. You could probably do it with a bolt and a socket if you were crafty
