Sad...well....for research sake can you post how much it costs to replace? If these are anything like wranglers we’ll all be in the same boat sooner than later

Wow that looks like the ones I’ve gotten in my JK from cranking the defrosters on cold days. Too bad about the wait on a shiny new vehicle. :-(

Good thing you are in FL and it's covered by insurance. Maybe you can pay an upgrade and get the acoustic glass? Supposed to be more durable

I got mine on the 5th day of ownership. Took it to a local Safelite place that put in non MOPAR but same OEM glass provider windshield for about $550. OEM MOPAR windshield was going to run close to $700 ish. This is for a normal windshield. If you have the adaptive cruise sensor package, expect to pay close to $1000 with additional charge that they may have to "recalibrate" your adaptive cruise control after replacement.

Also, since the Gladiator is so new, it may not be exactly listed in their data base as I had to convince them it was the same glass as the 2018+ JL and they ordered it against that.

$509 for the windshield (MOPAR). Not sure about labor. Probably another $150.

Actually, MOPAR already uses acoustic glass...

Damaged windshields will be the norm for these trucks thanks to their more vertical position all the impact of a rock is asorbed on the glass rather than deflecting it as a slated windshield would

Agreed, we'll all be experiencing this at some point! For the group, any thoughts about whether lifted Jeeps will not experience this quite as much VS. stock setups? A TJ Sahara I once owned was stock and it felt like this happened once a year (honestly), but my personal experience is that on Jeeps I lifted I didn't get this quite as often (could just be dumb luck!). For what it's worth, I am the guy on your rear end on the interstate that you probably hate. Partly due to this individual driving in front of me:

I’m not as inclined ( see what I did there?) to blame the windshield. My old CJ had a dead flat and nearly vertical windshield and it was still rocking ( See again?) the factory 1980 glass with no chips or cracks.

My J20 has its factory glass for 20+ years, same with just about all the other cars/trucks I’ve owned.

I point the finger at the glass getting thinner to get lighter to meet CAFE standards more that layout and design. Thinner lighter glass needs to be stiffer to resist aero loading which means it is potentially more brittle .
