What's the consensus on the RR snorkel and it's effectiveness offroad for fresh air; air-is or with a pre-cleaner?

Okay, I broke down and ordered the Mopar CAI for my Gladiator. Install instructions were clear and easy to follow. Super nerve wracking cutting into the hood. Initial thoughts are as follows: Yes it does make more rumble under hood, initial MPG change seems to be increased.
Overall I am impressed and happy with it. Will update as I gather more data.
Data? Or impressions?

Data has been inconclusive. I have made the following anecdotal observations: 1. Intake noise is increased making the engine sound meaner. 2. Initially mile per gallon increased by about 2mpg, this was then offset by going to 33" tall 10ply A/T tires. Since then the engine was replaced under warranty and it has never been quite right or gotten anywhere near the mileage it used to among other ongoing issues so the dataset is compromised. All in all if you really want the noise and the neat scoop in the hood do it.

Just reading along... Then, " Since then the engine was replaced under warranty" WTF? Nicely done... Crossing my fingers after driving home from the dealership and having death wobble on the way home. That kind of thing and yours can offset the good feeling of 30% off MSRP pretty quickly. So, then I rationalize, yeah, but the 3.6 is known to be reliable and dependable. Now say it over and over again like a mantra...

I will say this, towing home another car, that I really didn't need, that needs an engine and other things fixed, I was getting a solid 16mpg doing that. So win?

I have a 2020 Gladiator and my wife has a 2021 Grand Cherokee and her intake sounds absolutely incredible… I’ve been looking to see if the intake off the GC would fit on the Gladiator??… anyone tried this yet??

I went with a rough country CAI and I must say it makes the penstar sound angry in a good way, and it does seem peppy down low.

Placebo....... low RPMs won't pull enough air to make any difference.
"Performance intakes" are for higher RPM.
To improve low end, you actually would need to increase the velocity of the incoming air, not slow it with bigger pipes.
That's why Mercedes and some others run variable displacement intake manifolds - restrict air for lower RPM performance, open it up for high RPM performance
