Anyone move from a fullsize pickup to a Gladiator and regret it?

It's interesting to read the various perspectives. For me going to a Gladiator Mojave was like moving to a Rolls Royce. I'm used to stiffer suspensions, loud induction noises, loud exhausts, and general road noise. I truly feel like I'm driving a Bentley.
Careful, people don't take kindly to the awesomeness of the Mojave.

Went from my lifted 2017 ram rebel on 36s to the 2023 gladiator mojave. The bed being 6" shorter doesn't seem to effect much, but it's a bit shallow. I miss the hemi power for sure, especially since the gladiator gets about the same fuel economy with the v6 somehow. The ram was more comfortable for sure but rarely did I tow and even more rarely was it 7k+ lbs. The gladiator is obviously better off road. If you're only buying it as a truck/road vehicle the ram wins easily. If you're going to take it off road, want to take the top and doors off, etc the gladiator wins easily. The full size is very limited off road and the gladiator is limited in both full size truck stuff and on road comfort. Different tools for different jobs so to say.

Before the Gladiator I had a 2005 Ford F350 and then a 2014 Ram 3500 both were 4 door, 8 foot beds, and diesel with a manual. We wanted to down size and the Gladiator seemed to be the answer. It is a jeep, a convertible, and a pickup (with a little bed). Great for commuting (well it fits in downtown garages). Great to get us to our remote destinations. Just a boat...no, Jeep, load of fun. I have really enjoyed it.

There are times I miss the big beasties. I got used to owning them over 15 years. And before those were a couple F150s.

We got the GLADIATOR right before the pandemic. Then 6 months later amid the isolation and what have you we bought a camper. D'Oh! That beast would have been perfect to tow with. We sized the camper to not exceed the Gladiator’s abilities. The Gladiator does fine, slowly, and is solid and does well.

So, what would I do different if the Gladiator was totaled? Go back to a big diesel. No more manuals unless I go used. That's a bummer. But I would like to have a big oil burner again.

Then talk my wife into trading her Escape for a Wrangler ;-)
