Add me to the list who would jump to a shorter cab with jump doors and some storage. Big bonus if it resulted in an extra foot of bed length without going to a larger overall length.

With four people in the family, I wouldnāt be allowed to have a gladiator as my daily if there were only two doors. While I like the looks, I get to enjoy this vehicle with the whole family as it sits now. Oh well. I hate to admit that when I was on the fence between Rubicon and Overland, I ended up choosing an Overland because it already had the Mopar black tubular side steps on it and I was already pushing the budget. Iāve never used them but 5ā4ā fiancĆ©e and her kiddo sure have. Also, in NC, I donāt need a Rubicon. I donāt need lockers and a 4:1 TC for driving on the beach and the easy trails here I occasionally take it on.With four people in the family, I wouldnāt be allowed to have a gladiator as my daily if there were only two doors. Iād have likely done the same if I still lived in FL. and Iām in the dog house already with my wife and kids regarding the lack of steps.I hate to admit that when I was on the fence between Rubicon and Overland, I ended up choosing an Overland because it already had the Mopar black tubular side steps on it and I was already pushing the budget. Iāve been told that when itās lifted, I need to come up with a step solution. Tough, as I canāt justify power steps that Iād for sure destroy on the rocks. And I donāt want drop steps that will decrease clearance, or just look bad to me.Iād have likely done the same if I still lived in FL. and Iām in the dog house already with my wife and kids regarding the lack of steps.
Yeah, and the good frame mounted ones donāt typically have a decent step. Someone probably has one, but itās tough to sort through all of them. Itās nice having so much aftermarket support, but it can be daunting sorting through all of it.Iāve been told that when itās lifted, I need to come up with a step solution. Since Iāve only touched my rubicon rails once so far, and it was from the side, my prediction is that after the lift and tires (3.5ā plus 37ās) I wonāt even get near them. I totally agree with frame mounting, and would go that route if I replace them. But if I can steer clear of any really hard hits on them with the lift, I might just keep them. I saw one option for removable steps, but didnāt like them aesthetically.Yeah, and the good frame mounted ones donāt typically have a decent step. Seems like a pita also. I like that too but, the grill (not the traditional 7 slot but reminiscent of those Jeeps built by Ford in WW II...the Kaiser built ones had the 7 slot grill) seems to me to not let enough air across the radiator for proper cooling...THIS is the 2 door Gladiator I want.
