Amazes me with this tech Jeep still slaps these together like in the old days. Imagine the poor soul at the end of the line trying to match the sticker to the JT they are looking at. I'd check your docs for white out. Who knows wtf that thing is. The dude says he loves it. Okey dokey, all good, far out. It's definitely a Jeep Truck! In the used market it's exactly what I'll be looking for, a one off!!!

I saw a Sport labeled Glag. in a parking garage today in Portland OR . I looked and stared. Mighty fine. I wished the owner was there to give me the low down

My dream build is base sport with max tow (4.10.) 35" KO2s, fifteen 52 rims, Eezi Awn K9 rack.

I’m not being a dick lol I’m asking a legitimate question. Then why does my window sticker say it’s a sport?
That’s what all Sport model Monroney labels, Base or S, look like. The 24S package is what makes it a Sport S. Someone may have already replied that info. Still, the door locks and power windows are worth it, as my JL is a Base Sport and the roll-up windows fall down over bumpy roads. The manual door locks remind me of the old days. I like progress.

When I went to the dealer. They told me that they had a sport and a sport s. The sport s has a hard top and the sport had a soft top. The sport s has damage on the body from someone in the lot so they wouldn’t sell it to me. So I took the sport. They could be wrong. I could be wrong. You could be wrong. Fuck it. Either way I love it. Lol

Ok I just looked at the picture of your truck and what you got was a Sport S with the base rag top. A hard top is an optional item, does not make it a Sport or a Sport S. Like I said “if they know their product.”

I have often said that at times “if” can be a big word. To me the bottom line remains the same. Your dealership doesn’t know their product and the only thing that really matters now is that you are a happy camper with your truck and who owes who the chilly beers??? Cheers folks.

Sport, Max Tow, small radio, Auto, Switch group. That was all I was going to order. . Did get 3 things I would not have ordered but I got 4% under , 6 hours after selling the F150. Saved the wife from having to drive me up and down I95 twice day for 5-8 weeks, waiting for an order to arrive. Got the 24S, Bedliner, Prem. Sunrider. Under 40K before Tax Tags and High Wash DC Dealer prep. Drove 2/5 hours to get it. Dam truck is amazing!

Correctomundo @Rex3rd. As many may or not not know dealerships can not order a base Sport model truck to hold on their lot for someone wanting to buy a base truck. They can only order a base Sport model when it’s a customer ordered truck. I know this for a fact as I watched my dealership try to order my base Sport truck. They were trying to enter it as a stock truck (one that is to be held on the lot for some unknown potential buyer) and the Jeep system would not allow them to go any further. Would only allow that for Sport S, Overland and Rubicon models. But once he entered it in as a customers special ordered truck it then let him carry on with ordering my truck in the Jeep order system.

This is why you will see almost zero base Sport models on dealership lots. If you happen to find one then I guarantee you that it’s a customer ordered base Sport truck. So who else here, other than me, has actually ordered a base Sport model truck?

And not to worry folks, once I get mine in I will certainly post pictures of it. Will post shots of the manual crank windows, of the black base steel wheels, etc.

And if anyone else gets one before I get mine then please post pictures of it.

Sport s not a base sport

It is hilarious to me how many people say "Here's my base Sport. It has the (23/24S) package with power windows and locks...

Not trying to be a jerk, but how do you not know what you ordered and paid for?? A base Sport has manual window cranks. Look at your door. If it doesn't have a window crank, you don't have a base Sport. Ultimately, Jeep did a bad job differentiating the two levels. Or, they should only have 3 levels on their website instead of making the S a distinct choice from the base.

They did a bad job of differentiating them on the window sticker is the main thing. All of the marketing materials talk about the Sport S as a distinct trim level, but the window sticker makes it look like a base Sport with an optional "24S" option package and the badge on the truck says "Sport" (not "Sport S"). I can see how that might be confusing for someone not willing to spend months analyzing the option list.

@Jake I will likely be ordering a base Sport myself as well. The biggest thing I'm waiting for is Hydro Blue. Though I'd like to see the factory brake controller become available as well. Not to mention see some confirmation as to what the GVWR will be - FCA is being pretty vague on that one.

No doubt about it Jeep created a heap of confusion by not giving the base Sport or the Sport S a clear name difference. I know the difference but to many the lines are blurred.

I've got an automatic punk'n base sport on order. Crank windows and all. Planning to lease it due to the great residual value that is specific to the base sport trim. Hopefully the RV is still great once it finally arrives.

Most interesting to read. When did you order and what’s your current build status? Oh and love the color.
