Howdy all, If this has already been discussed somewhere here on the forum, please just point me to those posts so this won't clog up the forum.

I'm looking for a way to either deactivate just the halo lights on my headlights, or perhaps do something so they only come on when the headlights are on.
What I'm looking for is to have all exterior lights off while slowly driving in moonlight out on some ranchland and dear lease.
Something like blackout drive from the old military days.
Perhaps putting a switch somewhere in line with that feedline so I can run them as normal, then switch them off once off pavement.

Any ideas?

Adding a switch inline is the easiest and simplest way. But, the computer might senses no power draws from the lights and throw a lamp error. Try disconnecting the connector and see what happen.

You can add a relay inline to each side of the day and halo lamps, then triggered via the small parking indicator lamps. No additional switch is needed.

Your HALO's are acting as your DRL's. You can go into JScan or similar and disable the DRL being active. Can also play with the signature lamp/light settings.

Just FYI to those suggesting turning off DRL, I have those turned off via the settings screen on the radio display. My DRL only turn on when I flip the headlights on.

Anytime the engine is running my halos are lit.
Now that yall mention using a Jscan (I don't have one) reminded me that I might be able to do this using AlphaObd (which I do have the paid version) so I can look around on that and see if there is a setting I can change.

I bought AlphaObd only so I could do forced regens if needed (have done that once just to make I could). Im a little nervous about doing much with the AlphaObd because you can really screw things up if you don't know what your doing.
