I dunno, it depends on how miserable you want to make that one day....Fern Ridge and Barney are on opposite ends of a very large park, it's an hour drive just to get between the two. I'd be curious to hear if anyone's actually done all of them in one day?

I totally agree Darel. You would have to be dedicated to your task and map the straightest path to each, run each BOH trail reasonably cleanly and quickly (kind of just rush through them) and you would be at the mercy of a lot of potential things that could get in your way. I think there are enough daylight hours in a September day to accomplish the mission but my recommendation is to take a day for each park and have two nice days instead. That being said, I still like to push myself for different types of physical endurance events and sometimes there is that level of satisfaction that comes from actually pulling off something you weren’t entirely sure was going to work so I guess it all comes down to “what is your goal?”. ? ?

Plan on 2 days. If you plan 1 day and things go sideways on you. You'll be disappointed. It's the other people in front of you that you can't control.

As everyone else has said plan on two days. I have been to both parks multiple times over the past 20 years, even before AOAA was officially a park, and even with a perfect uninterrupted day hitting all five BOH trails in one day would be a tough task to accomplish and impossible if you planned on enjoying the trails.

Yeah I would say 2 days just from a safety perspective

1) rushing is always a recipe for disaster - I always break shit when I rush
2) the longer you're on the trail, your mental acuity will drop with each trail.......mentally tired
3) Enjoy the ride
