ARB air compressor supply (stock) issues

Just spoke with customer service at arb about a dual air compressor, when dealers could be getting them back in stock. And the girl I spoke to said they are having supply issues and could be a year before they get back in stock……ughhh. A couple dealers could be getting some shipments, but she basically said it’s a crap shoot. This sucks!!

Asheville Vehicle Outfitters in Asheville, NC had three on the shelf yesterday. I did not see reserve tags on them (like there was on mine). Call, they might ship.
The Mix Truck Accessories in Greenville, SC had one on the shelf a few weeks ago, and it has been there for a while. It might still be there.

I know a vender that had 80 when I ordered mine 2 days ago. Paid 565 with a 10 off coupon but I just recieved it and in the box to return it because it was damaged..... for those that already purchased this, how did it arrive from the vendor?? The compressor is pretty heavy but the retail packaging has no foam or bubble wrap to protect it, just the cardboard from the box which I may add is very flimsy. It was shipped to me in the retail box with just packing tape with their logo. Is this how you got yours in the mail????

Wow, I cannot imagine shipping something that heavy and pricey in the box it comes in. I have seen business cards made from thicker stock.

I just noticed too the clip on the harness broke too. I was thinking about keeping it because they offered 120 credit if i kept it but i just saw the clip is broken too. What would you do? Keep it or return it?

I bought mine from Innovative AT Products along with their 4 tire inflation kit. I got both the kit and ARB Twin within a week from ordering. That was about 2 weeks ago.

I bought my wife’s and mine from Asheville Vehicle Outfitters, so local pickup.
For a $120 credit, I would probably keep it so long as they are going to guarantee that when you hook it up it works. If they say “take the credit and take the chance” I would return it.

Totally agree. Knowing my luck, I would get stuck 10 miles from nowhere after I aired down, only to find out that my "discounted" air compressor wouldn't work.

I got mine in a secondary box. Maybe you can get the vendor to ask ARB for new wire ends shipped direct? With the component logistics issues that may be the quickest route

90 day warranty from the vendor and then the 2yr manufacturer from arb would be effective. I guess I'll power it up and see what happens. I mean, these are made pretty heavy duty right? Being dropped on the ground a million times is okay right? Lol

How did the install go for that package? How are the air couplers and hoses?

Also, how hot do they get? I guess inflating all 4 tires at once saves runtime heat but the load increases. Just curious if I should be worried about the heat melting the wires under the seat.

I haven't installed it yet as I'm still waiting for the jeep... but all the parts look top notch and I wouldn't see an issue with the hoses and couplers to fill tires. They seem like the same parts used in high pressure commercial carpet vacs.
