I have a 2022 with 27k miles and has a certified warranty. My truck is displaying symptoms of a faulty aux battery and I am curious if this is something I can have the dealership diagnose and replace for free. Any ideas?

The batteries are covered for 3 years/36K miles. If it was a late ‘21 delivery you may be getting close to the end of the warranty.

My aux battery failed at 35,500 miles, right after I bought the truck. I took it in to my dealership and they replaced both the aux and main batteries under warranty. They said when the aux fails, the standard procedure is to change out both. I was very happy.

But that was the bumper to bumper warranty. If those batteries failed 501 miles later, I'd bet they would not be covered by Jeep or the battery manufacturer. I don't believe they offer any warranty on them for the customer as an OE supplier. But I don't know that 100% for sure.

So as long as you are under the 3/36k bumper to bumper warranty, your batteries should be covered.

The Jeep CPO warranty does not extend coverage on the batteries beyond the initial 3/36.
It only extends the power train warranty to 7/100.

We had an extended warranty on our 2020. The Radio was staying on draining the batteries. We paid $600 to replace the batteries and $100 deductible for the radio. Did not cover batteries. Which sucked!!!!
