ARE Canopy Upgrade?

When I first bought my ARE CX Classic I didn't envision the need for a RTT. Now that I live in the South and travel the greater SW, I see the appeal. Not confident that ARE can handle the load. Is something like this worth doing?

If these could mount to the trail rails it would be a great solution, or so I hope. ??

Not many white options with sliding windows out there to upgrade to, so exploring all ideas.

I am also researching this idea as I would like to run a RTT on top of my ARE CX Classic. I have seen/heard many have done so without any others mode but I am leery of adding that much weight up there. I have seen this internal frame structure too, but I only found it available from Australia. I may end up fabbing my own set but will try to slim it up a bit and design it so it will not obstruct my windoors.

That frame looks pretty robust! I like the Australia version, and how it connects to the trail rails. I was at Rick's Pro Truck this morning getting my side slider window replaced and asked them about this option. They are going to reach out to Real Truck for me. We shall see! But, while we wait.... @RealTruck - Is this frame available as upgrade part?

I was at Rick's Pro Truck this morning getting my side slider window replaced and asked them about this option. They are going to reach out to Real Truck for me. We shall see! ARE caps and cap accessories are sold through our dealer network. I don't know the answer off the top of my head, but if the shop is a ARE dealer, you're headed in the right direction.

Personally, I have not had great luck in getting a valuable reply from Real Truck (ARE) but maybe you will have better luck. I asked about buying replacement windoors (with sliding screes) and all I ever got back was "go talk to a local ARE dealer, here's a list". The two local resellers around ne don't want to deal with any aftermarket support so that is a dead end. As they say, buy the canopy way you want when you order it.... I got mine with my truck so I didn't have a say in the matter.

My local dealer just ordered me a replacement side window. I guess if you break a slider you cannot just buy the glass, they hard to order the whole window frame and all. Cost me around $400, but it is now fixed. They used the serial number off the side and it took about 3 weeks to get here.

Oh nice! I am glad to hear they supported you at least.
BTW- My comment was not a knock on Real Truck. I understand they can only sell their products through specific avenues and they don't have any real control over said resellers.

I really am a huge fan of the CX series canopy. It's been phenomenal!
