And to sweeten the pot, I was on the Jeep website last night and a popup offered a $1K coupon code. So I could get the Mohave for $46,100 or the Rubicon for $42,800. I suspect I may be taking a drive next week.
The ZR2 is nice. I just have trouble with all the quality issues I read about on the GM twins. Back seat is a no go for me as well.

I've had the ZR2 for 1.5 years, 14,500 miles. No issues. A friend's son has one. Same thing.

To be fair, if someone looked at the Issues section here they would never buy a Gladiator. The cam issues alone would make you think the engines are ticking time bombs.

Anyway, I think I'm going to go test drive the Mojave and Rubicon next week and see if I can make a decision. :)

More thoughts about deals….

Have you ever thought about the retail marketing gimmick of buy more and save more?

When they “mark down” or apply “savings” to an item they trick people into thinking they saved money. The compound that by sometimes doing things like buy $100 and save 15%, buy 200 and save 20%, etc.

If you buy anything you did not meet the definition of saving money. You spent. They get your money, so their business won. It’s a mind game they play in their advertising.

I just picked up a 25 Mojave X for 47k earlier this month. While I have a household income of 150k with no mortgage....I've never spent this amount of $$ on a vehicle before...I traded 22 Nissan Versa with positive equity. I've been second guessing this purchase for a month now...I think its sticker shock coupled with shock st the pump.....

My situation is I also have a 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited with low miles that runs perfect...my kids are getting older and want to travel and off road... That was main reason I bought this...I felt I got a good deal

Now I need to upgrade tires, lift, steering stabilizer, etc....which is more $$..which keeps me second guessing if this was really worth it...

But I have had jeeps my whole life..CJ2A, MB, Grand Cherokee, etc

47k was the dealer price after incentives from Jeep and dealer discounts...I wound up financing 49k after trade in, taxes, buying extended warranty, a few grand down...etc...

I'm probably gonna cash in the warranty because I'm gonna install a loft, 37inch tires, rehear, etc....which is probably gonna void the warranty

So we are looking at a new 25 Glad Rubi X. MSRP is $64,484. They will knock off $5271 (8%) plus there’s the $7k Jeep national discount. From conversations here 15% is a good deal. Would that be the dealer discount or including the Jeep discount also?

I picked up a Mojave X beginning of April for 47k...couldn't find a Rubicon X anywhere close to that price...

If you didn't get it by today, the $7K discount is gone.

Interesting.
Over the last month I had been keeping track of 9 different Mohave and Rubicon Gladiators at a couple of local dealers. Even with the $7K Jeep discount, plus dealer discounts of $3K-4K, NONE of them sold.
The $7K Jeep discount has ended so I think they'll be sitting on the lots for quite a while.
