Are the Rubicon springs noisy in colder temps?

I have noticed a strange noise from the rear, which I believe to be coming from the springs, whenever I go down a slight drop off/incline (say from a parking lot to a road). Almost, like a creaking noise. I don't remember hearing it when it was warmer out. Anyone else hear a similar type of noise? I retorqued my UCA and LCA's. I have yet to do the sway bar end links. This is my first time owning a truck, so maybe this is normal noise from the weight differences of the bed?

I don't know if it's Rubicon related, or winter related. For that matter, I'm not 100% certain that it's the springs and not the shocks or something else. But I've noticed that when it's cold out, I get some creaks out of the suspension that go away after it warms up. What I'm hearing sounds like what you're describing. I haven't gotten around to torquing anything yet.

I definitely get a few more creaks in colder months. (2020 Rubicon)

I’ve also got 35k on the clock and over 20 off road trips so it could be a combination of wear on bushings as well though.

No. Do you have them clocked correctly? When was the last time you torqued your suspension?
When I wheel hard for a season, I get creaky. Then I torque things and I am not creaky.

Yea that's the answer I was looking for. At first, I thought I might have messed something up when i added the suspension back in august, but as it got colder out is when I noticed the noise. It almost sounds like when you jump on old spring mattress, that's why i correlated the noise to the springs. Could very well be the shocks.

Springs are seated just fine and not really a way to “torque” those. And yes, suspension is tightened to spec. I had this the first winter as well with completely stock suspension. I don’t think this is a component of loose suspension.

Retorqued less than a month ago. The only thing I didn't do when I installed the rear springs/spacer, is I didn't loosen the LCA or UCA's on the passenger side when dropping the axle, however I did on the driver side, but the noise seems to be coming more from the driver side? I've racked my brain try to figure out where the hell it could be coming from. I'm getting the Mopar lift soon anyway, I guess it'll jsut drive me nuts until then.

I noticed that in the colder weather the exhaust hanger bracket near the rear driver side wheel made a creaking noise. The bushing made a noise. Once I lubricated it the noise went away.

This used to happen on a car I had, and it was the bushings for the stabilizer bar.
a little bit of grease in the colder months solved it.

hmm, once it gets warmer out I'll have to give it a try. I want to mount a camera in the wheel well on the driver side just to get a better idea of where it's coming from lol. It feels like I'm driving a beater when I hear that noise.

But not your brakes please ... ?

Seriously though - I live in MN and I notice creaking sounds from the rear suspension. I have airbags (Airlift 1000) and I just assumed they were binding the springs or something. I think it is normal...

Maybe put someone in the bed to listen. My stock suspension sounded like shit after wheeling hard. I know my Clayton is much quieter. But....I have a season of wheeling coming up. We shall see.

I guess that's mostly what I wanted to hear, if it was normal or not, or something I did when I did the install of the takeoff suspension. Thanks for the feedback
