That is true, but I plan on doing what is needed to put the anchor back in.

they tell you not to do it in order to not be legally liable when somebody allows their Mat to squish under the pedals and hinders the brake.

One other potential issue to be aware of is I think the Armorlite is a bit thicker than the carpet, so fitted mats may not fit as well.

Are you seeing any wear/compression in the foot pedal area? This is my only concern before upgrading.

Hey Bemarsh, our warranty covers normal Jeep use wear and tear, our TPO (surface material) has a proprietary composition that makes it very resistant to wear.

Installed in both our JT and JL. Should be a factor option.
Couldn't get rid of the carpet fast enough.
No issues in JT for almost 2 years or daily driver JL after 18'000 miles.
Installation is a little challenging but nothing you can't do with some grunt and patience. Just be careful taking trim prices off and reinstall. Take your time and have fun. It's what we Jeepers do.
Oh, and pull off some of these off your carpet and use on the Armorlite floor. I sanded the passenger side one to fit the countour of the floor.

There a bitch to get off the carpet. Roll the backside of the retainer with some needle nose pliers or vise grips till they separate.

Is there a concern the fiber (organic) insulation backing would be susceptible to retaining moisture and molding if any water is trapped under the liner? I have had plenty of cars growing up in NY winters where the carpets never dry out, then mold and rust out the floor boards. Seems like same would happen with this product.

I would be all for the product if it had a option where there was no fiber insulation and a pure vinyl type material.

You won't break it. Trust me! Twist the back off. You only use the front piece.

The backing is actually inorganic, it's polyester. It will retain some moisture, certainly, but they designed it up to retain as little as possible. The top layer, is impermeable, and the drain plugs run through the floor, so the only way for moisture to get to the polyester backing would be around the edges. The edges are not in areas that large amounts of water actually get to.

My regret is that I didn't buy it. I just pulled the plugs in the OEM slush mats and it's not as easy of a clean out as one would think. I should have saved the $165 and put it towards Armorlite.

If you don't buy a cheap version of something only to realize the more expensive option was what you really wanted so you end up buying the same thing twice, can you really even call yourself a Jeeper?

I looked at every connection under the seats and side panels. Maybe there's a plug under the carpet I need to check. Doughtfull but doesn't Hurt to check.
