Definitely some good options but just not for me. I just carry on my person. I would be worried about holstering and unholstering and having a negligent discharge. Hopefully it works out for you though!

Probably wisest option.

legal experts, caution against carrying a pistol in your vehicle versus on your body. The premise is that if you ever need to grab it, it could play against you in court.

emerging from your vehicle with a pistol in your hand is a completely different optic than emerging from your vehicle with a pistol in its holster on your body. Regardless of the truth, it could be used to paint a picture of you as an aggressor or “brandishing”

also, it could be the catalyst that starts bullets flying when possibly they might not otherwise had to (e.g. “the other guy claims “I saw him emerge with a pistol in his hand, and I fired out of fear for my life”)

Of course, There is no way to know in advance the circumstances surrounding when you might need a pistol. Your way covers your ass in the most possibilities.
