I have a 2023 Freedom Glad. No problems with it since I leased it last March, other than the weak aux battery. Today I stopped for breakfast comming home from the beach, I parked the Glad but wanted to move it back farther in the parking place. Truck started but wouldn't go into rev or drive. Dash said to put it in park then drive. It didn't work till I hit yes from the message. No problems the rest of the trip. First, I have a regular emergency brake handle, I beleave I don't have the system where the emergency brake comes on automaticly like some of the cars. Glad has 4,885 miles on her, No problems with engine or trans, never did this before. Anyone know, whats up.

There is a ("a baby sitting safety system) if the drivers door is open then the transmission is in a Park locked position .. To get out of that system .. door must be closed and they you do the instructions on the dashboard; imposed after 2 jeep owners got killed when they got out with the vehicle in gear and idling 4-5 years ago.
