Better mark it then remove skid before ya drill or ya might have a directI need to do another drain and fill soon. Now that I have a drain plug, I’m super tempted to drill a hole in the skid plate so I don’t need to remove it. But it would be quite difficult to find a funnel that would fit in that tight space.
Jesus that would suck. Damn. I’ll just remove it and drain with it off.Better mark it then remove skid before ya drill or ya might have a directdrain hole

Make one.I need to do another drain and fill soon. Now that I have a drain plug, I’m super tempted to drill a hole in the skid plate so I don’t need to remove it. But it would be quite difficult to find a funnel that would fit in that tight space.
Thats what I was thinking remove skid use a hole saw and then use the piece to create a flap / trap door to access plugMake one.
Ahh, you mean the funnel .. hmmMake one.
I could, but I’m probably doing more work than is worth it. Oil changes, sure. But this will be 30k stuff. It’s only 6 bolts to pull that skid.If you can use a permanent marker to mark it or just measure . Cut the hole with hole saw. Keep the piece use the hole in center to attach a flap could fashion a circular door .
Still it would be cool to see someone fab that upI could, but I’m probably doing more work than is worth it. Oil changes, sure. But this will be 30k stuff. It’s only 6 bolts to pull that skid.
It wouldn’t be hard. Just a hole, some tabs, and a few small countersunk bolts. I’d just rather leave it stronger with fewer seams to catch on rocks.Still it would be cool to see someone fab that up

That’s my thought. I spent the time and energy to remove the big oval for oil changes, so I don’t think I want to cut a new one for the tranny.Yeahpoint well taken if a rock is scrapping past that area and suddenly encountered resistance in the form of the hatch/ lid it would rip it to streads
Like to see a picture of that oval cut out .That’s my thought. I spent the time and energy to remove the big oval for oil changes, so I don’t think I want to cut a new one for the tranny.
