The bypass sequence is super easy.
The full removal is a bit more involved, and there are a number of methods and approaches for that.

BYPASS:
Disconnect the auxiliary ground cable from the other grounds at the main battery ground.
Wrap the cable end with electrical tape to prevent incidental grounding, and secure it out of the way using zip ties.
Remove fuse F42.

FULL REMOVAL: I haven't done it yet, but you can either gain access by removing the entire fusebox and going in from the top, or you can go in from the bottom by way of the fender liner.

Here's a cable deletion guide from @Hootbro , but I would recommend watching some videos and choosing a method that you're comfortable with.

FANTASTIC! Thank you very much. it appears the ess is still allowed to work. if it weren't for the 8 ga jumper, i imagine it would throw a code. again, i enjoy your posts and those of hootbro, shadowspapa and wildhobo.

I did my 2021 Willys like the diagram. With my 2022 Rubicon, the only difference is I took the aux battery negative cable to body ground on the fender rather than remove it. Gives a stronger ground connection and avoids having to mess with the current sensor end.

Thanks for the input... I guess I will be buying the Tazer and remove the start/stop that way.
Tazer isn't the only option. If you're going to utilize Tazer for other options, yes. But, if you just want to stop the auto start/stop, just get an eliminator from amazon for $30-$40.

once aux is bypassed you can also simply disconnect the hood plunger to disable the ESS... that's what I did.

You still get the Aux Disabled Icon fault on the cluster?
