I forget what the amp ratings are for each switch but I think 3 and 4 are 15 amp while 1 and 2 are 40 amp. I added relays and fuses to all my aux switches for piece of mindI assume these must activate relays for higher voltage the the switches are rated?
If it's the factory setup, the relays are in the PDC/fuse panel. The aux switch package has the relays already inline with the wiring. No reason to add relays or fuses.
I think I'm gonna go that route myself and install the OEM aux switch kit... Prolly gonna use one for dash cam and one for ham radio. I haven't installed any additional lights yet.I bought OEM Aux switch and installed in mine. I use them for Alpine Dashcam, Starlink, GMRS radio and a powerblock I installed on passenger side of center console with (2) 12v powerports and a usb c charger.
I noticed in some of the other posts people wire a dashcam to an aux switch - and wondered - why?I’d hardwire the dashcam if at all possible. Never fails the one time you forget to poke the button is when Jack Hole Junior decides to pull out in front of your 65mph lifted rig and thinks you’re going to stop for him so he can figure out the long skinny pedal is the one that makes the car go vroom vroom. I may have had past experiences with “that guy”.
You're welcome. Thanks everyone for all the answers so far, I feel my wallet shrinking LOL
I thought about adding the Rubicon switch panel but want it in black to match, especially since mine isn't a Rubicon.Mine are connected to winch, compressor, front/rear locker. May be going with an aftermarket Rubicon type switch for the locker stuff but have to do research. And all lighting will be going to a DSwitch, most likely.
I like organimization when I have to poke buttons.
