Has anyone had issues with the back doors staying locked when you hit unlock on the fob, and/or, the unlock button on the door? The child lock setting on the door is off, but I have to hit unlock on the key fob 2 times to unlock the back doors, and doesn't unlock the back door by hitting it twice on the front door unlock button. Seems weird.

It’s set that way. First press of the FOB unlocks just the driver door, second press unlocks all. With proximity locks, using the driver door unlocks only driver side, using passenger door unlocks all.

Explore the settings in uconnect and you’ll be able to set the fob to one touch unlocks all

that makes sense with the setting and fob, I guess the confusing part for me is why the actual unlock button on the front door won't unlock the back door.

It should, you may need to visit the dealer. Check the pins and connectors for the door cables. Make sure they are seated properly with no bent pins.

I usually touch the passenger handle as I walk by to unlock all the doors. When I have to approach from the driver side, I open the door and then press the unlock button so I can get into the back seat.

The child lock is only supposed to prevent the door from being opened using the inside handle. It is not supposed to interfere with the door lock or opening the door from the outside.

I had a strange rear driver side door lock issue. The alarm would set either by fob or driver door button, but the one rear door was not actually locking. I found this issue by chance--forgetting that I had locked it up and went back out to get something. The rear door --where I leave all my bags/wallet/work laptop etc opened and the alarm went off. It did this off and on for approx a month. All other doors and tailgate would be locked and not open except the rear driver door. I messed/played/pushed/tried everything I could all combinations of fob, door buttons, switches, child lock, etc... It finally seemed to stop and work correctly when I gave up and took in to dealership. They found nothing. I now worry that it will do it again and I will not know and have my laptop taken. Anyone else have this weird one happen ? (sigh..so many issues with my JT)

I'd suspect a loose pin connection for the door lock in that door's wire harness/pigtail. Sometimes it'll make a good connection, other times not which results in the door lock not working properly.

Yeah, for security you can have the fob unlock just the driver door, or all doors..........
The case of the post that awakened the zombie thread sounds more like a wire or connection issue or similar. It's not a setting.
