Back up camera glare from license plate lights

The license plate light is routed through the Normally Closed section of the relay. The Reverse signal is used to activate the relay. The contact is just broken, turning off the license plate lights while the relay is active. The Normally Open portion is not connected anywhere.

i was thinking if you routed the power back to the ground of that wire the fault may go away just attach to a 2 in 1 out diode

Putting something between the Normally Open pin and ground that has a draw equal to the License Plate lights should eliminate any code for the lights out.
