What are you using to plug the holes from where you removed the covering in the bumper around the opening? Those are clean looking.

I went to Autozone and bought some plastic push-type retainers. I eye balled the diameter and got lucky. Something like this (if I have the actual package still I will post and update because it really was a perfect fit):

Harbor Freight has a 40% off on Badland winches on 12/19/2024 (saw the add posted on Reddit). Is the consensus the synthetic over the steel rope? Debating picking one up, but I need to either modify my bumper or get a new one.

I took advantage of the price they had on BlackFriday, for the synthetic one... for 479.00, I could not pass it up. That is 20% off.

At 40% discount... heck yeah!! Go for it. And yes, go synthetic.

That was the one I saw! I fear they will not have them in stock, but I am going to try as I really want a winch. P.S. the door pockets are working great!!

I saw the fine print and it does say any winch so I’m assuming it will count towards the apex.

I see the wire rope version for $250 on sale. You can get syn rope from Amazon for about $80.

Great information…. I will be installing a new JTR take off on my JTM with the same winch. I choose the warn winch plate though. I have the wire rope that will be replaced soon after.
