That’s what people called those for years. At least in the south they did.
Got it. Up here in the NW, I only heard "canopy" until the last several years, which is now "topper".

It’s a knock off ,there is a thread here somewhere about it from Alibaba. Guys are taking the gamble at like $1300 I think.
It is either steel or aluminum , some guys got them already they are happy with price, paint scratches easy. My though is it is a cheap copy of an RSI cap, but a lot of guys are good with that and it seems ok….Jack

I agree with that. Although, if the only issue was it scratching easily, I’d scuff it up and throw a few coats of satin clear on it and be perfectly ok with that for the price point. I’m not sold that’s the only issue. My luck isn’t that good.

Even without AI, it takes about half an hour to have a fully working website with a storefront that sells any number of products that can be marked up and dropshipped anywhere on the globe. Nothing inherently wrong with that business model I suppose, but it is unfortunate that folks all too often seem to assume that having a $25 domain name and some hosting equals legitimate and/or quality products.

Baron4wd has no domestic contact info, has it's domain registration info hidden behind a proxy service, and was designed with one of the dozens of freely available WYSIWYG web design editors (WIX, GoDaddy, DreamHost, etc.....).

All of this doesn't necessarily mean the products are trash, but it sure would make more sense to just buy this stuff directly from the manufacturer in China instead of the low effort middle-man marking it up and dropshipping it to you.
