No that's normal the bead itself settles I've found. If you have to continuously add torque I'd be more concerned but it's normal to have to retorque a couple here and there as the bead settles and the bolts do their initial minimal stretch.

When you do go to check the bolts please make sure to air down the tire first. It's unlikely but I saw a guy get both his leg bones open fractured by a ring he over tightened that was full pressure. Caused a chain reaction of bolts shearing and the ring caused some serious damage.

After doing the 5th one today to finally have a spare again, I went back to wheel number one that didn’t have antiseize. Per advice, I lifted the axle so no pressure was on the tire, and lowered the pressure to like 2psi. I removed one bolt at a time, added antiseize, and torqued to 20.8 ft pounds. I did do a circle, but wasn’t worried as I only removed one at a time. After all 24 were back in, I checked every one twice around. All clicked without moving. Aired it back up and set it down.

So regarding my thanks for the advice part, around half of them seeped the tiniest bit of air when loosening. Like the tiniest baby rabbit fart. I was pretty happy there was only 2psi in the tire.

This thread has been super helpful. Tons of information I didn’t have, and important safety stuff was lots of that.

@WILDHOBO are your tire irons textured black? My tire guy hates new spoons. He takes a wire wheel to them and polishes up the areas that make contact.
He has an old one, like 20yrs old, that is his favorite.

They are. Not heavy texture, but coated. I might do that before the next round. I had good success with 1/8” cut to fit rubber to insulate the wheel though.

I seen your rubber pieces. There are rim protectors out there. Now that you have beadlocks, you probably don't need them anymore, but...

Perfect. Thanks. Agreed on the Beadlocks. But if I can find a used balancer, I might start doing the normal cars, and the tractor tires. Why not?
