I have a molle panels in my bed and I have some things I'd like to mount. There are tons of options online. What is everyone mounting on their molle panels (and bed rails)?

I currently have a waterport and shovel. Looking to add things like a fire extinguisher, propane tank and axe.

I have tried many configurations but currently I have 3 ammo cans that I put rivnuts in holding tools. Fire extinguisher held with a quick fist, a hatchet on my side bed panel, traction boards on the front. Definitely recommend the ammo cans, you can fit two above the wheel well humps perfectly.

I'm the process of making some mounts this weekend for propane tank and moving the traction boards up on the roof rack.

Are all Molle panels essentially the same? I've been looking at the metalcloak ones. I'm not entirely sure what to go with yet. @Animal, your setup looks nice. Do you have a Pic of how you attached the ammo cans?

Here's a good thread with comparison breakdown of all the panels and how they mount.

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/bed-molle-panels-comparison-chart.51516/

I went with RC, they were super cheap at the time and have held up really well. I installed them late 2019 or early 2020 they've had tools, fuel, water, propane, ratchet strapped furniture, lumber, dirt and rocks thrown at them. You could install them without the rivnut, they would rattle a bit when not loaded.

I can snap some photos of the ammo cans in the am.

Rough Country cab-side molle panel. Just installed it but already useful. Here’s a not too great picture of it behind the grill & fridge.

I have my spare fuel can and propane tank mounted to it currently.

I’m on the fence between JCR & Built Right. Researching for about a week now. Timing is perfect, looking forward to this thread!

I have motobilt molle panels installed. I’m trying to figure out what the best solutions are to mount things onto them. @antwon412 what are you using to mount the propane tank.

@Animal the ammo cans are a great idea! I’m not sure how I’d utilize them though. I took out my rear seats and have a platform for my dogs. I store all my recovery gear, tools and small items underneath.

That's very helpful! One quick question. Does anyone have any preferences regarding installing "ON" the bedrail or "BEHIND" it? I'm kind of looking at installing on the bedrail for simplicity. Thought?

When mounting the cans be conscious of the opening mechanism and hinge swing. I have mine spaced so I can remove the tops still and gain full access. I had rotopax mounted behind the one and they blocked the ability to open without first removing the cans. I used m8 nutserts and hardware.

So I like mounting behind the bed rail so I can still slide the cleats along the full length.

I keep a portable air compressor in one until I can afford ARB, lockers someday and that's part of the plan then. I keep chalks, a chain, old school smatch block and the heavy dangerous recovery fear outside the cab in one. The other is currently a catch all, recently used tools, spares that don't fit in the wrench rolls, bale wire, tapes, whatever. In the past I have kept rachet straps in one.

Great timing. I’ve been contemplating swapping out of my bed rack to panels. My table can just be strapped down. Everything else goes to the panels. Regarding my propane tank, my first thought was that I can just bolt it to the panel, but I’m guessing that’s not an option. Looking forward to seeing other solutions.

I just have a lashing strap around it for the moment. It’s temporary until I get my canopy camper and some sort of storage units built for the bed.
