Yes ikamper 2.0

Thanks. I was concerned at how things would look if the tent extended out over the tailgate on my billiebars. I don't plan to have the tent on all the time and need the lower set of bars for other recreational activities. I can't quite justify a custom trailer yet to hold the tent, kayak, and paddleboards. LOL

Yeah on the same boat as you. I remove the ikamper quite often.
The over hang is quite useful when it rains. Lol. My fridge don't get rain on.

As far as bed racks go, Leitner ACS forged quality is hard to beat and there's a ton of modularity with add-ons they sell for it. Front runner also makes good racks, for beds and for rooftops.

As far as RTT's go, some of my favorite brands would be iKamper, Roam Adventure, and James Baroud. All SUPER high quality brands with amazing attention to detail. Roam sells annexes that attach to their tents to give you a full sized room underneath your tent which is super cool.

I have a question about your set up. I have a Yakima skybox I want to mount on the front bar on the aft roof and the second bar on the tracks on a bed topper. Basically, the same scenario you have just using towers in the gutters for the front and pads for the bar on the topper A.R.E CX Classic. Now here's the question. Do you have any articulation issues given that the front bar is static, and the back has flex? This is for on-road travel.

hello, no issues at all with articulation. I road traveled and mild dirt roads with washboards in Michigan without issue. I drove thousands of miles like this. Later I had the RTT up there with same configuration. I did slide it back after getting a new Bed rack and even with moderate to difficult off road adventures I did not see much articulation between the bed and the cab.

Well, it's never really done being built. I'm working on the kitchen now. I've taken it out camping a few times and she works great.

The link below has tons of pictures of the build.

First I built a full height bed rack. Then I built a mid height bed rack. Now I have the ARS Overcab JT Rack. Actually kinda nice having my bed back.
