Definitely more practical for towing, boat loading/unloading with no lift but it gets a lot more attention now. Not sure if that’s good or bad. ?‍♂

What you think, before or after?

Looks great, gas or diesel? How is the performance, steering and braking with that size tire?

Yo Holmes, that there is right darn tough, lifted that is. Not much more than a toy now though. Your toy and sandbox, play with it however ya want. Enjoy.

Lo that is a refreshing bit of honest! It's always funny when I see guys with the 3.6 go to 37s and swear up and down everything feels stock!
Looks sharp though! What lift did you go with?

abs kicks in and starts scrubbing

I’d be curious if you slam on the brakes, abs kicks in, let off real fast and hit them again. Can you lock up?

If you can lock them up, upgrading your brakes might not do much of anything.

You forgot averaging 20MPG and cruising along fine in 8th gear!
Reality on just Mopar 2" lift (on a Sport, so about 3.5" total):
  • You'll lose about 3mpg's on 35s and 5mpg's on 37s overall with 4.11 gears (worse if on the taller standard gears)
  • Forget 8th gear on 37s unless you're doing 80 downhill - 35s seem OK
  • Bucks like a mule on the freeway but meh - Jeep
  • Towing is great on 35s, but the 37s were frighteningly unstable (for the record, I did a BFG satisfaction guarantee swap for 35s when I couldn't safely tow a 4.5K lb travel trailer). Doesn't seem like a big difference size-wise, but something terrible happens between those 2 inches.

Don’t know that. I’ll try it and report back.

New update. My flash cal arrived in mail today.
after updating, my jeep feels much more throttle responsive, without the boat trailer anyways. Still as mentioned above transmission mainly using 3-6 gears 7 occasionally and 8 is lost.
Now researching best ratio to move forward 4.88 or 5.13.
seems most went with 5.13. I’m leaning towards the 4.88 as I don't know that I stay with 40’s and I do get a lot of Highway miles.

Good evening, How has the EVO 4.5 lift treated you? 40s create any other obstacles along the way? It would be nice to get some honest feedback.

EVO has been great. No issues. king shocks and steer stabilizer, very happy.
The 40” milestar pat’s were put on because at the time I couldn’t get what I wanted due to back order. 48k driven miles on them and another 8k miles not clocked on the odometer as being toad behind Rv and I think I can get another 10k safely. Will probably get another set.
I do 3k mile rotations on 5 tires.
still running 4.11’s and won’t change this far in.
My biggest issues from beginning and still to current are entry/exit for fat boy, parking garages, and hauling kayak on top.

I will duplicate setup on next one with the only change being 4.88’s at the start, unless they start selling 42’s
