I do sometimes drift for fish but it's a double meaning. I have lived all over the state and been to more towns and villages than most. The wife is a state policewoman and that's how she started off, being sent to small towns all over. So were sort of middle-class drifters. But my favorite thing to do when I do have a day or 2 is to get a raft in the water and float. We've got lots of toys these days but it's hard to beat a night on a sandbar no lights no traffic and the only sound being the river going by. I like fishing/shrimping in one of our powered boats but float trips is what I like best.
Float . . . Drift . . . just a play on words really . . . I'm in TOTAL agreement on that "Sound of Silence" one hears when standing in or near a "quiet" stretch of River . . . better yet Camped overnight next to it . . . next best thing to being on cloud 9 up in heaven (so I've dreamed). :)

Too bad I didn't know about this a week or so ago. I am heading up on Tuesday. Could have thrown a bumper in as checked baggage. Just brought a grill for the wife's Nissan up over Thanksgiving. Shipping to Anchorage was more than the grill.

Sounds like you travel out of state a lot. I'll keep you in mind in the future. Are you military or just like to get out? Yes the shipping is totally ludicrous. I really want a Warn bumper but I'm not going to spend 1300+ on an 800$ bumper. I haven't checked Trail Toyz to see what they can do yet.

I travel for work extensively so I keep top status with Delta. Pretty much as long as it isn't crazy big and under 70 pounds I can get it on. We have checked some interesting things in the past. M16 armory racks, carousel horses, amusement ride parts. Not sure about a full width Warn bumper or something with a big stinger but I just did the Arcus bumper on my JT and I am sure I could get that one on. Probably break it into 2 boxes.

I've seen all kinds of roll bar Handles including these https://www.quadratec.com/vehicle/jeep-wrangler-jl-parts/interior/grab-handles

but I've never seen a "screw-in roll bar handle" - what is it?

When Jeep added air bags to the roll bar that added additional thickness and the Velcro handles straps were barley able to connect. Mopar has bolt handles that attach to the lower surface of the roll bar with bolts. The holes are already there and they look much better and are definitely more secure.

Blast from the past! This thread is 6 years old. The guy you're replying to hasnt logged in for 3 and a half years almost. I don't know if he cares much about the grab handles at this point. But some of us are still around.

Just since we're here, I dont remember what I ended up getting, I think the Hauk Offroad snorkel kit.
