First time Jeep owner. Bought my new Gladiator last week and I would love some input on tonneau covers. My last cover was low profile that sat on top of the bed sides. It was a tri fold hard cover but the last section didn't fold up which was never really an issue for my needs. Only had to take it off a couple of times which was very simple to do. I was thinking about getting one that is a little more flush for my new truck. Also I would like to get a bed rail system to mount a few things. My concern is getting a cover that works with the rail system. Would like to get a tri fold hard cover. I would love to get some input and suggestions from those that have bought tonneau covers for their Gladiator. Thanks in advance.

Congrats on the new Gladiator and welcome to the community!

There are great options out there for the Gladiator that are compatible with the rail system. The BAK X4s and BAK MX4 are pretty popular. The X4s is a hard roll-up tonneau cover that includes integrated T-slot rails for added accessories like racks. The MX4 is an aluminum hard folding tonneau cover that allows for full bed access.

If you have any questions on fitment, availability, ship times, or would like a pricing quote, please PM me or email me at [email protected]

I second the Bakx4s it allows the most space in the box and is the easiest to lay out or roll up.

Another vote for the BAK Revolver X4s. Love it. I've had the trip fold Bak product on my GMC 2500. Actually went through 2 of them-but to be fair I mis-used the first one-overladed the bed so it couldn't close properly, etc, etc. I was trying to move away from th Bak products but could not find anything I liked better then this Revolver. Love it! I paired mine with the TeraflexBed Rail system. https://www.extremeterrain.com/tera...ail-system-with-tie-down-anchors-4831010.html

Have you discovered the online catalog store called Xtreme Terrain yet? If not you will discover the meaning of "accessorizing". LOL! Enjoy your Glaidiator! Every time I walk outside and see mine it makes me smile. I do use it off-road here in Arizona and I remain amazed at what it can do! Way beyond my capabilities as a driver! Oh and if you ever have a reason to not use it for a couple of months get an AGM qualified trickle charger to keep the auxiliary battery topped off-that's the only PITA I've discovered with this vehicle.

Bak Flip MX4. I have owned 4 or 5 and haven’t found any others I like better.
First I want to thank everyone for their input so far. I don't have the trail rails yet but was planning on installing them. I've read where the Bak FLip MX4 works with or without them but my questions is can you still attach things or molle panels to the rails if the MX4 is installed or does the cover block access to the rails. My last tonneau sat on top of the bed sides so rail access wasn't blocked.

Great info. I've seen the roll up version but wasn't sure if I would like it. How do you hold it in place if you only need the back portion of the bed? I see you have a rail system with yours and I do like that. Yes I am familiar with Extreme Terrain so I will have to take a look there. Any other input with your experience that I need to know about?
I have only had my Mojave for a week and I love it. I look forward to having a reason to drive it every day, even makes going to work more enjoyable. Am I crazy to think that...lol

JCappy-The roll up one has straps with t-connectors on them that fit into sockets on the forward edge of the cover. As compared to the tri-fold which has two open positions. One is folded flat over the first section and uses retainer straps to hold it in place and the second position is to have all 3 sections folded up and held up with two rods vertically. The tri-fold in the vertical position probably provides "slightly" more bed room than the rolled up version. But!-one feature I never made use of-these covers are easily removable. Two big plastic knobs that can be unscrewed and the top removed.

Love my Roll-n-lock - super easy to open and close, looks great, has rail option and mounted my rack straight to it. Killer combo imho.

Good info thanks. So it looks like it is either all the rolled out or all the way rolled up and strapped in. Also do the straps just hang at the front until needed to clip in to hold in place while rolled up? How well does it keep water out and do you have to install rain drains? Does the cover have to be removed to add T slot nuts for accessories to the rail? I had a tri fold on my last truck that sat on the bedside and was thinking about something more low profile for my new truck but want to also have bed rails for accessories.

I went with ACI - Access limited roll up cover with the Adarac system. I love it. Super clean.
If you like the soft roll up route. Bonus - It's more cost effective with the same results.

For a good budget cover I have the Gator tri-fold. I live in the Pacific NW and we get a lot of rain. I have had this cover for about 8 months now and not one leak. I don't know about access to bed rails as I don't have them on my model, the Willys. The Gator is under $800.

I had the diamondback and switched to the revolver x4s. It's a lot quicker to use the full bed when needed.

I had to add rails to the diamondback, but the x4s already had them.

Depends on case usage really.
