Best way to buy a car in Idaho, then immediately drive 1500 miles home?

Best deal I found was out of my state and in Idaho. Local guys were jerks. Paid my state taxes at time of purchase in Idaho. Varied the rpms and followed the recommend break in procedure on the long drive home, but I have a manual transmission and it's probably easier to do. Was a nice little trip. I rented a car, rented a motel room and was still thousands ahead.

I'm in Wisconsin. Was thinking of buying my Gladiator from Idaho and then making a fun road trip out of it driving home. Trouble is how do you break a motor in and then drive it home 1500 miles?
