That gap is the biggest waste of space...

The bed and the cab move independently of each other on the frame which is why there are basically zero products on the market that connect to both.

Haha, but I did resently see a video (maybe from tfl) where a guy built a hard top that encompassed the bed. He said the flex at that junction wasn’t nearly as bad as he expected and I’m sure we can figure something out with our soft tops.

If it's This guy, he also built a roll cage connected to the bed which helps stiffen it up.

You could throw gussets into the soft-top. Then figuring out how to limit road noise would be an issue, since you've got fabric flapping. On top of that, you'd have to figure out the folding mechanism so you could easily fold down the bed, top, or both without issue.

Well as someone who has the softopper I was worried this would be awesome sauce and I'd regret not waiting. But overall it seems pretty similar and maybe a slight advantage if you would want to run decked.

Also interested in the twill version. Hope it comes out soon and there is also a mesh option for the front and rear. Too bad it wasn't out before the 10% rebate expired.

Did you get the tonneau with the required mounting rails? I’m ready to buy the whole set, but curious if I’ll have to wait til the topper ships to use the tonneau.

I got an email recently saying my top shipped. But I haven’t opened the tonneau yet. The box feels like it doesn’t have rails in there.
