The Mopar (tereflex) 2 inch lift is a great start but for me it opened the door for more. Certainly allows for 37’s but with jeep bringing back the FAD plus the heft of the tires and the hard alignment caused by a short track bar and bad caster, a change was needed.
Since we were doing the 4.88’s anyway, we went ahead and addresses all these issues plus built for the future with the following changes:
Steer Smarts YETI XD adjustable track bar
Synergy sector shaft and track bar brace
Clayton Offroad adjustable LCA’s
RPM Steering 7075 aluminum tie rod and drag link
RPM Steering steering stabilizer relocation kit
Fox 2.0 steering stabilizer
Artec Industries Truss kit
Artec Industries inner C gussets
Artec Industries LCA skids
Clayton Offroad FAD skid
Dana 1 ton ball joints
ARB diff cover
The parts work together as a system really well. The RPM Steering tie rod and drag link is massive. Its made of 2 inch solid bar 7075 aluminum. It can flex almost 20 degrees and still remember its shape. The Yeti and sector shaft eliminated the slop these gladiators have from the factory. Solid as a rock now. My opinion is the lift should come with LCA’s. We finally got a decent caster setting with the Clayton arms, and more articulation.
Even for the casual offroader like me, the truss and armor is basically just piece of mind. People are breaking the housing at the weak point, and with the 37’s there’s now piece of mind that things are more likely to hold together.
All of it went together great. Here are some pics. Let me know thoughts.
(Beer can is for scale!!)
