Joined the gang about a month ago and couldn't be happier. The old girl was great, took me everywhere and then some. But the ride on this JTR is incredible. So excited to start the build.

What lift/tire size are you running?
minimal to be honest, the Teraflex leveling kit and a set of Milestar Patagonia’s in the 33” variety. Zero complaints still and this is coming from have “almost” completely dedicated rock crawler on 37’s...

So is that just a 1.5 puck in the front?

Yes, my long term goal is overlanding focused and so gas conservation and limiting weak points come first. I learned the hard way when I built my 2012 and spent I think more in my suspension, wheels, and tires than I did on the Jeep itself and would prefer not to go down that road again.

Just in case here’s a side by side with my Dad‘s stock gladiator sport...

Put 315 70 R17 Duratracs on yesterday and figuring out whats next. As excited as I am my 5 year old boys might have me beat. They gathered up some blankets last night and said they were going to sleep in the the "Yeep truck".

My open box bumper and new headlights came in this week. It is slowly coming along. Unfortunately my silver "Scrambler" vinyl running along the body started peeling so it is all off now. Only have it left on the sides of the hood and tailgate now.

Hey guys... After owning basically every Jeep model, from a CJ-2A to an XJ, a WK2, a bunch of CJ/YJ/TJs and two JKs, I think that I've found my favorite.

I swapped the factory JT wheels with a set of JK Rubicon rims that I had on my lifted 2014 Grand Cherokee.

I like the look but need a bigger tire. I'm sure that I'll be upgrading my wheel/tires combo soon.

Anyway, more changes to come.

Here's my current line up: Gladiator, Grand Cherokee and 1985 Scrambler.

Today I got the first JCR Off-road Classic Sliders to replace my Rock Rails.

Those look great, I might a set myself. How durable do you think the powdercoat finish will be with people constantly stepping on them? I'm thinking about ordering with bare metal and then get them rhinoguarded.
