Searched a bit here but didn’t find anything on this.
With my knack for busting fragile bits, is there a proper removal method?

I'm tagging this for future reference...

I wonder if it can it be accessed from below? Or from behind the taillights?

I believe that I saw in another thread, that the lights are held in with 3M adhesive. There was a thread about changing the lights out with a Ram part that had a button on the lights itself.

No I remember seeing a post on here with pictures showing you need to press in a clip behind the faceplate on one side. Perhaps search bed liner posts about prep.

these are the posts mentioning the Ram part number with a switch… last post seems to indicate that a sales code needs to be added to your vin For the switch to function.

So I’ve been doing some research on this nasty trickery that has played some of us. The lack on a button on the bed lights to turn them on. I found a picture of the bed light kit offered by Oracle and noticed that their Jeep gladiator had a button on the light. I also found that the 2019 Dodge Ram had buttons in the light too. Well attached are the pictures of the lights on Oracles Gladiator and you can slightly notice the top of the lights appears to have the RAM logo on them which you can also conspire to the Mopar bed light kit offered for the RAM, part number 82215272ab. I’ve also taken the liberty which I regret cause to take the light out of my gladiator and take pictures of the back side. Note, the lights are 3M taped to the bed, not clipped in. They will not stay in place if you take them out and put them back in. You will need to get new tap. The connections are the same as the RAMs. So for around $130 on Amazon, you can buy the kit and switch the lights, which have new 3M tape and ditch the harness that comes with it since you won’t be needing it. I am going to be ordering it shortly and will update.

I managed to order just one left side Dodge Ram nene light part number 68312567ab for $40
I’m not sure about any bypass I’ve also noticed that the Dodge Ram light had two of identical connections for the left side light that has the button. The wire harness for the ram comes with two plugs. The Jeep gladiator has short jumper connectors that plug into the harness from the rear of the frame and then go up to the light about 1.5 foot cables on each side.
