I was watching the Rock Hard 4x4 video on installing their slider and the guy in the video mentions "some customer hit them with an air gun", so I did. I have now broken the passenger side rear most body mount.

I went to a large auto body shop and they weren't sure what the best way to fix it would be. Lifting the body off the frame some, making some space from the bottom or going through the floor. They (specifically one guy there) has fixed Jeep body mounts before but not this one.

Has anyone else broken this body mount and had it fixed?

Thanks

I have only seen the going thru the floor method. Not to say there may not be other ways.
Sorry you are going thru this. For anyone doing this in the future, an Induction bolt heater is recommended to heat up the loctite on those bolts, and the carefully removing them by hand. impact guns not approved for these bolts. :)

Anytime you have to mess with the body bolts get a bolt heater. It melts the red loctite and are much easier to get out. Plus NEVER/EVER use an impact on them. I see you learned that the hard way.

If it is the rear most bolt and it broke close to the threads you can unbolt the body mount from the frame and get an easy out socket in the remaining piece. I had it happen on my truck doing the rockslide engineering step sliders. That will only work on the 2 rear most body mounts though the front 4 I believe you will have to go thru the floor.
