mirror to mirror width is 9.2" wider on bronco, the track and body are 2.1"...
my last ram 1500 full size was 5.6" wider on the body than wrangler and it's only 3.5" wider than this porky new ford
the wrangler already pushing the size envelope for jeeps...the bronco crossed the line and is a bloated pork chop, go look at one and you'll see
and whatever else was said about all the fender widths etc.
i know my jeep gladiator is only 1' foot shorter than my ram 1500 but it's 2' foot 2.5" narrower at the mirrors (yes that's 26.5"!) and 5.6" narrower at the body....it is a staggering difference in parking fit, tight laneways or trails or even in the garage
as i said before, the bronco is going to fit far more like a full size than a mid size, regardless of it's marketing, it's going to park, skinny lane or trail, garage fit....like a porky ole half ton, period
they can compare it to a suzuki samurai for all i care, it's going to fit like a 60's caddy lol, it's not actual comparison to a real jeep, too big, and IFS no no
but i guess that may leave the door open for a bronco II perhaps, if they really want to attack the wrangler properly they should undercut it's size somewhat and get that solid front axle in there, keep that 2.3 turbo with the manual trans...those are the only good parts to keep so far
look, if we can't have a little fun bashing fords on a jeep forum then what's the point?
can't wait to see the pics of jeeps pulling them out
