lol, go look at one of these pork chops, not even close to apples/apples comparison, apples to grapefruits maybe, the only thing i've said bad about it is that, and it's true, but the truth always has hurt hasn't it lol, i'd choose it over a 4-runner but then again, how does the 4-runner do against the jeep wrangler...swing and a big fat fluffy miss haha

i'm sure it's a fine vehicle, and the whole point of this is to show there is no point discussing it within jeep forums of any kind, the title of this thread says that....so we can all stop now, it's not a comparable vehicle, it's just a glorified honda passport, i'm just confirming the obvious, ford is marketing this thing all wrong, put it up against the honda passport and nissan pathfinders etc. haha
You’re right it’s time to stop now.

none of what you said is true, it only has similar features, when something comes along that can kick it's ass then the wrangler will actually have some competition, but it will need the fundamentals in place to begin with, as it is just trying to compete is never going to be enough to dethrone the jeep and ford fails again, it's just an oversize fluffy pretender catering only to the rest of the half ton and luxury suv market people and the soft-road poser 4-runner overlander peeps haha

the only thing the bronco will compete with is a 4-runner, in that regard i'd choose the bronco in a heartbeat, well that is if the jeep wrangler didn't exist...jeep is the correct answer of the 3 mentioned there, i need a truck box so there is no debate for me, i'd make that ranger go more places than that bronco, even though i'd much prefer the manual from the bronco, but the bronco is not a mid-size and it's no competition for the jeep wrangler
I really can't tell if you're trolling or not...

I’m starting to think either a huge idiot or a troll. Numbers are numbers and although it looks like a larger rig it’s not and I know how well they perform off road. Most people who act like this guy have never even been off road in their lives.

Move the mount but then use the arm to put it back to about where it's at. Body mounted but not sticking way out. Now let's just get jeep to pay us for it.

Ford's stick way out because they don't use an arm to move them back they're just big mirrors on straight stalks.
A lot of the aftermarket mirrors for the JT/JL attach to the windshields hinge, which puts them pretty much where the Broncos are.

The Wrangler starts at about the same price, but charging extra for power windows, power locks, 8 inch screen and air conditioning is crazy in 2021. The ride quality on normal roads is night and day. Most people use these cars as daily driver. I love my Gladiator, but if I was buying an suv, the Bronco is just a better purchase.
Base model to base model, you're correct. They are going to have to do something about base trim pricing. But once you start comparing trims with options, the pricing is about the same. I think jeep will have to lower the price on the bare bones version, because there is still market for it in this segment. It's probably the only segment where there's a market for roll up windows haha.

I haven't ridden in the Bronco, but I have ridden in JKs and JLs, Range Rovers, Mercedes', and of course, the Gladiator. I can say I don't think the ride quality will sway too many people, because it's actually decent on modern Jeeps. Even coming from a car, the first thing I noticed about JT on my test drive was not poor road manners. I've had a TJ before. That didn't ride that great (comparatively speaking, I still loved it), but the new ones, and even the later JKs don't ride poorly. I think jeep has fixed that problem in later iterations. Neither Wranglers not Gladiators ride like a luxury car, but they aren't noticeably jarring anymore either. My mom rode in mine, coming from her Range Rover, and said the same thing. The ride in a jeep is actually nice now.
For the casual person, the choice will come down to brand loyalty (for those that have it), appearance, and inventory. For the hard core off roader, I actually think it still comes down to the same. I have little brand loyalty, and if I do, it's for Subaru or VWs. So I'd give the bronco a chance, but the ride quality isn't going to make my decision, unless it's absolutely mind blowing. It'll come down to looks, and interior.

Bobby Bare ~ Numbers.

LYRICS
I was sittin' in Friday's suckin' on a glass of wine
When in walked a chick who almost struck me blind
She had wet blue eyes and her legs were long and fine
On a scale of one to ten, I'd give her a nine

Now on my scale there ain't no ten's, you know
Nine is about as far as any chick can go
So I flashed her a smile, but she didn't even look at me
So for brains and good judgement, I'd give her a three

I said, "Hey sweet thing, you look like a possible eight
You and me could make eighteen, if your head's on straight
Well she looked up and down my perfect frame
And she said these words that burned in my perfect brain

She said, "Well, another one of those macho-matician men
The kind to grade all women on scales of one to ten
And, you gave me an eight, well, that's a generous thing to do
Now, let's just see, just how much I give you"

She said, "You comin' on to me with that corny numbers jive
And your style makes me smile, I give it a five
When you walked up I noticed that suit you wore
It's last year's double-knit frayed-cuffs, give that a four"

"That must be your car parked out on the curb
That sixty-nine homemade convertible, a three and a third
Now, as for that build, I guess you're less than five
Except, for your pot belly, I'd give that a ten for size"

"Now that wine you're pourin' might be fine to you
But I'm used to fine Champagne, I give it a two
And it's hard to tell what your flashin' smile is worth
I give it a six, you could use a little dental work"

"But, it's your struttin' rooster act that really makes me laugh
It may be a ten to these country hens, but to me just three and a half
And there really ain't much to add once the subtractin's done
And since there ain't no zeroes, I give you a one"

Well she walked out, while up and down the line
The whole bar was laughin', said, "Hey Bare, what happened to your nine?"
Nine says, "Ah hell, soon as she started talkin' I knew
Sure didn't have no class, I barely gave her a two"

Yeah! No matter how good they look at first
There's flaws in all of them
That's why on a scale of ten to one, friend
There ain't no tens

Do people seriously think that a vehicles size will make it unsuitable for off-road?
Yes, obviously the Hummer sucks off road and must be worthless.

Yes, all trails are only 75” wide, anything 75.1” and wider will not make it.

Depends on where you wheel? Some of the trails around here are pin stripe city even in a jeep, 6 inches more and it's just tree branch city.

It’s just a 4X4 though, I’m told if you didn’t want it dented and scratched you’d buy something else.

So you mean something smaller so that it can drive around the tree instead of through it?

Plus side about the bigger size, maybe they will clear trails and make them bigger for all of us haha.
