Love my Method 701s. The Jeep gets used, so one of the reasons I went with the Methods was because of the Bead Grip system.

I love the idea of bead grip tech, but with the offroading I do (rocks, all rocks), I really need a bash ring. My old MB11s are beat all to hell on my JK.

Ask and ye shall receive. I had AEV Pintlersnon this for a couple seasons before I got these MB11s and gouged the hell out of the lips of them. I sold them to my buddy, who wheeled them for another season or two before on of them finally just broke off.

i see your point for sure!! Good consideration too. I dont wheel that hard. But even mild stuff does have the potential to cause damage. Appreciate you bringing this up.

Methods are high on my list so far. But I still am liking the Icons best. Just not sure of how bright or dark there bronze is. That green reminds me of some hot colored pens and hotwheels as a kid. Pretty sweet!

A little late to the party but don’t forget about the Alpha equips wheel offerings. Got the Delta model on my JL. Got them on sale for 130 at tire rack last spring. Seem to be holding up great to the rocks as they get rubbed.

So at the moment I think I'm going to go with Method 701 or 703

I believe the factory Rubicon wheel is 7.5" wide with 0 offset / 4.25 backspace?

I am looking at the Baja Boss 255/85R17 tire. They say rim width is limited to 6.5-8.0"

The 701 and 703 Methods have a 4.75 backspace / 0 mm offset option, but the rim width is 8.5.

So question 1 is - would this match up ok? I have not before run a tire on a rim that is outside the 'approved' width spec.

Question 2 is - Quadratec does list a Method 701 at 7.5" wide, but with 5.5 backspace / 32mm offset option. But wouldn't this sink in more? To accommodate a wider tire, but possibly too much inward distance for a skinny 10" wide tire?

Backspacing/offset always just confuses the daylights out of me.

@chorky,

Method wheels are very solid I have been running the bead gripe technology NR 409's on my UTV for several years in the extremely trails in AZ and UT without any issues even at low pressure.

PM headed your way.
