Hey guys, i recently posted on here about a month ago seeking advice between 2 different mojaves I negotiated down on and I more than appreciate everyone’s imput. I can now say that after a month of ownership, a trip to the beach, running across the sand and 1800 miles later I love it. So thank you.

Now. The question of warranty has started to cross my mind. As it stands right now Im in a used 2022 sitting at 17,500 miles with 16 months left of factory warranty. From my understanding, as long as I am still within original factory warranty I can extend that out longer. For peace of mind Im really considering it but wanted to get your imput.

More specifically, are there any warranties I should look at specifically? Warranty packages/terms? Was the extended warranty worth it for you? Anything helps really. Thank you all for your help!

Extended warranties are in reality extended service plans in contract language. Basically they are a quasi insurance policy that like other insurance, in the aggregate, they are in the policy writers favor that you will not statistically need or draw full face value.

That being said, if you get any kind of "extended warranty", get a MOPAR one and avoid the other third party companies that offer them.

Lastly, you buying used, can you prove and show documentened schedule maintenance done prior to you assuming ownership? One of the loop holes all extend warranty plans have is having the ability to show all documented maintenance if requested. Some people have had claim denial being a second hand owner and not being able to show or prove prior maintenance was done before they assume ownership.

Fortunately as one of the deciding factors before I purchased the vehicle was that the previous owner (who I suspect to be 50+ based on the saved stations lol. Hope he had fun and keep killing it brother) did take the car in for regular maintenance and inspections every 5-6k miles and those are documented on the carfax report.

Get a Mopar Extended Warranty. It shows up in the system and can be serviced by any authorized dealer. There are several authorized dealers that sell them at discounted prices. I purchased the Max Care with $100 deductible. As long as the vehicle is within the 3/36 warranty, purchase should not be an issue. The price does go up the longer you wait.

As others have already mentioned, purchase only the MOPAR Extended Warranty Insurance Policy. Most third party warranties, are not worth the paper that they are written on.

I got denied on a extended warranty from ford because I couldn’t show proof of tire rotation

Florida has banned out of state discounted factory warranty sales. That's a tougher question for you than it is for people living in 48 other states.

I do not doubt it. I have read of people that even bought a certified used vehicle and was sold a extended OEM warranty to only be denied later because prior service history could not be verified even thought it was certified.

These extend warranties do not fall under Magnuson Moss Warranty Act protections.

I had a similar experience like you. Last month I purchased a pre-owned 2023 Mojave that had about 20k miles on it. I wanted an extended warranty for added piece of mind given the high mileage for a 2023 model year. I declined to purchase a warranty from the dealer that I bought the Jeep from because I didn't want the hassle of being a pest on the price. I already knew in advance exactly which warranty I was going to be getting. I purchased my warranty from the website below and opted for 6 years or 60k for about $1,200 with the $100 deductible option. I only wanted the genuine Mopar extended warranty which is good at any Jeep dealer in the country. Here is the website I went through. They were prompt and sent me completed PDF contract the next day after I purchased it. They are actually an authorized Jeep dealer in North Carolina (shows who they are on the contract paperwork). The website is nice because they show all the options/prices without any hassles of a phone call. Hope this helps... thanks, Richard

FYI - I was told these Mopar warranties have a unique feature that if you don't end up using them you can get a refund later. Interesting...

on this forum i chatted with a gentleman selling jeep/mopar extended warranties. i informed him of my 4" lift, new gears and 40" tires. i expressly asked if coverage would be available to me based on my installed changes. the man honestly surprised me when he said it would be doubtful! although i did not make a purchase, i tip my hat to him and his company for an honest answer. if you have done or are planning on doing anything non-jeep oem to yours, find out if it will be a disqualifying event before making the purchase.

The guy I spoke to said Max Care cant be sold by out of state dealers to owners from CA, FL and KY but the warranty is still available by phone order. I got a seven year Mopar warranty. Same discount as available from Granger on line.
