Hi Folks,
I am an old guy and I'm buying my 4th Jeep and it looks like this one will be a Gladiator. In Canada they are pricey 60-70,000 plus taxes plus luxury taxes. (ushered in by our Liberal government). I've noticed the Sport S and Overland have narrower fenders in the back, (and are much better priced) so does this mean a 33" tire (which is the largest I would install) will go past the fender flare and look stupid? What type of a lift would you need for 33" tires?

I don't like the Rubicon because the red dash looks to juvenile. The high altitude is awesome, but I'd have to sell the farm, to get one.
I am looking for a MODEST looking truck being an old timer and that's all I'm after. A bit better that stock slicks. Thanks!

I have a mostly stock Overland. It came with the 18" wheels. I have not lifted it or looked at bigger tires. It rides nice, and I do a lot of highway driving. I think the factory Overland wheels look good. I actually bought a set of Overland take-offs to replace the factory set that is now approaching 50k miles. It will give me four matching spares to keep in storage.

Max Tow has the wide axles of the Rubicon, and the extra fender lip. Look at 10.5 wide tires.

I have a ‘21 Rubicon, and I don’t care for the red dash, either. I’ve considered swapping those panels for a different set, but they’re pricey IMO. Still may do it…

I have a Sport S with the regular/narrow fenders and axles. I put Rubicon-size tires on mine (285/70R17) on the stock wheels. They don't stick out past the flares. No lift was necessary, but I put Rubicon shocks and springs on, which netted me about an inch of lift.

I have an Overland, added Rubicon suspension with a 1.5inch level in front, and comfortably run 35" Baja Boss tires on Mojave wheels.

I agree with @Mr Bill that the stock wheels look great, but the 18" tires are also more expensive than 17's of the otherwise same size/model. (my tires were nearly $100 more per tire in 18" vs 17")

That may be so. Three things I thought I'd hate about my first-time Jeep ownership. Waves, ducks, and the red dash.
I love em all, lol.

I'm pretty sure you can get someone to put a wrap on the red portion of the dash.

I've had Rubicon take-off tires and wheels on my 2020 Overland. Worked and looked fine, didn't really protrude that I cared about or noticed.
Have slightly wider tires on the Overland wheels now on my 22 - love the look. I appreciate the side not getting rock chips all over, and the door hinges aren't all chipped up from road debris being tossed up the side.
