Black Friday sale are on so looking at a Propane fire to keep warm and possible do some cooking on it for winter camping.

Been looking at a Ignik fire box which seems like a nice unit that a pan could be sat on or pot.
Would likely use a fold up Alumnum reflector sheild TBD to get more heat directed at me.
I'd use a seperate tank.

So what all are you using plus your pro's and cons?

Thanks.

The Ignik fire cans are really cool. Their top model offers some cooking inserts if that's what you're looking to do. I've only got experience with the normal fire can which is really efficient on fuel consumption and puts out great heat for it's size. A good option for places that don't allow real fires. Would recommend.

I have the lava box. I got it in the raw unfinished color because it was cheaper. Bought it about six months ago for 120 or 130 bucks including the carrying case.

Super happy with it. But had a huge flame if you want it and it’s Uber convenient.

Not only is it handy to have when you’re sitting around at the end of the day, on a cool morning it’s pretty handy to be able to turn on and have a roaring fire for people to sit around and enjoy their coffee with

I did look at the Lava box but propane usage would be intence.

Camco Little Red Campfire ..adjustability? Cooking..doesn't seem to lend itself to using unless a stand/grate was also bought.
