Nice setup, details ?
It's a 2004 trailer made by HMDE, I picked it up on OfferUp as a shell for $3500. I flipped the axle, added big tires and wheels, solar, sink and a stove and its going strong at a little over $5k invested. It's been good to me so far. ?Nice setup, details ?
My Alu-Cab dealer would tell you the Khaya is too heavy for the Gladiator. Can it be removed easily? I love our AluCab but wish I could remove it when not using it. I have considered trying to switch to a Khaya or something removable.
Not surprising since the canopy camper is really a bit heavy. I lifted it to have heavier coils and I am getting ready to install Dobinsons to see if they help. Also switched the Mojave rear shocks to Fox 2.5s.My Alu-Cab dealer would tell you the Khaya is too heavy for the Gladiator.
If the tent goes in the bed, where do you have room to haul all your stuff?Been pleasantly surprised how well we like the truck tent.
Kind of bought it on a whim, but it has been enjoyable.
FAR better than regular tent camping.

You don't drive with the tent set up.If the tent goes in the bed, where do you have room to haul all your stuff?
Well I figured not fully deployed but I wasn’t sure if it stayed half set up or fully boxed up and have to set it all back up. I like the idea and cheap, but don’t like having to take all the stuff out of the bed just to get your bed set up. Damn those RTTs are convenient for that. You don't drive with the tent set up.
You set it up once you are at your destination. Plenty of room for everything else.

Haven’t heard of those.. that’s a pretty slick trailer. We do a lot of camping in the warmer months here in Utah. I tow a 12 foot jumping Jack trailer with A side by side loaded on top.
