Ok, so I have some pod lights that I took off a vehicle a long time ago. The pods have their own harness that goes to a 4 prong relay. The relay also went to a 3 prong switch that was inside the car.

So we have a positive and negative wire from the relay (to supply power (#30) and ground(#86)to relay), and then 3 other wires coming from the relay. (blue (#85), white(#87) and black(#86), - acc wire, pos, and neg for the switch)

I no longer want to use a switch, and am now going to be using a 4 channel switch module.
The module on one end has its own power (inline fuse) and ground. On the other end is a harness with 2 wires per channel. One wire of a channel goes to a 12v power source (switched or constant), the other wire of the channel goes to the power wire from the lights or accessory your are turning off or on.

I am confused how to make this work using the switch panel and the relay in line that used to have a 3 prong switch on it.

Hope this makes sense???

Is this switch module just switching or does it handle higher amperages that you can just wire the pods directly?

If switching, a 3-prong switch means it either has an on-off-on mode or on-off with backlight (betting this) so you'd just need to connect the switch panel to the two wires that go into the relay. The third switch prong means nothing.

If you can handle higher power, wire the pods directly to the panel.

Each channel of the switch module has an internal 15 Amp mico relay. The pods say they only draw 2.14 amps per pod.

I got it. I just took the relay out of the equation.

The Pilot Box has internal relays. You can eliminate the switch & the relay from the harness, just save the lamp wiring and battery terminals. Battery to Pilot channel, Pilot channel to lights.

what do you mean exactly?
Im just curious where you ran the wiring from the lights to under your hood and to the battery. I just wires lights the other day and it made me curious what pathway other fellas use for their auxiliary lights.

Yeah that’s pretty much exactly what I did. And then I shoved all the extra wiring in a zip tied bundle next to the battery
