Can someone please take a pic like this one?

Passenger side rear LCA....frame side. Curious if my gas tank skid is closer to my LCA mount than most people. Rock Hard LCA skid does NOT mount. Fought with it for 2 hrs today. Even the bolt is too long....would need 5 washers to avoid contact with the skid. Sigh. The red circle is the interference area.

Could you remove the tank skid first and then install? I have those to install too.

You can't remove the tank skid as it is the "mount" for the tank. I tried loosening the bolts and shoving the tank more inboard - no luck. Gonna just grind/cut the skid down.

Thanks! I feel like I have the worst fuel skid ever tho....first guy to experience this. Talked to Rock Hard today. They've never seen that tab so close. They said no problem grinding their skid to clear...and to send them pics and they'll probably revise the part.

I have a Rubicon, but I doubt it is different. I have a meeting, but I'll try and get under it tomorrow.

I think I told you that I grew up in SD, actually out east in Jamacha which is Rancho San Diego now. My daughter and family live in Alpine.

Cut 3 threads off the bolt barely fit once hit with 190lbs.

Thanks for sharing your issues with these skids, they are still on my list to buy and get put on before next spring, but at least I'll be prepared if I have issues as well.

Monte Vista '67', my brother '70'. I left San Diego in 1990. My family in Alpine would be the only connection. We have a guy in our Trader Joes that went to Valhalla, but back in the 80s I think. Small world. My son-in-law, Ron Andre Drugg was there about your time. He was a wrestler for Coach Takahashi, who I went to Monte Vista with. Two degrees of separation?

I remember Ron and Takahashi for sure! Legendary coach. Ron was 92'. What a trip.

My coworker hunts with Glen's brother. So sad how early Glen passed.
