Passenger side rear LCA....frame side. Curious if my gas tank skid is closer to my LCA mount than most people. Rock Hard LCA skid does NOT mount. Fought with it for 2 hrs today. Even the bolt is too long....would need 5 washers to avoid contact with the skid. Sigh. The red circle is the interference area.

Awesome thanks....def looks like you have more room....like your tab is bent up instead of out like mine.
I can see what you are talking about. It definitely looks like yours is more outward bent.

Thanks guys. I definitely have a low clearance one. What do you think would cut that down? I don't have a grinder, lol.

I'd shove a pry bar in there and bend it the right direction using the LCA as leverage, just be careful not to punch the gas tank, otherwise you've got bigger problems.

Also try to loosen the bolts on the skid and see if you can nudge it the other way, just be careful, it's supporting the fuel tank.

Great idea on the tank. No go on pry. Metal is way to thick. Won't budge.

Anyone know the torque on the tank skid?

I'm reading 48 ft.lbs on the JL site for their fuel tank skid, should be the same for ours.

4" grinder with a Matabo wheel will make quick work of the problem.

I wouldn't want the sparks a grinder wheel will create that close to the gas tank.

But guess my spirit of adventure & desire to blow myself up is lacking.

I would not use a grinder to cut anything attached to the fuel tank...

Couldn't move the fuel tank over. I'm just gonna cut the skid where outlined. The material there isn't needed at all.
