Can you get good sound with the stock stereo

I’ve been going back and forth on a stinger Heigh10. I’m wondering if there is a significant difference in sound quality between using the stinger and using the factory 7 inch HU with a LOC. Plans are to use 6.5 components front and rear and a subwoofer all powered by a 5 channel amp. Main thing I’m worried about is if the factory stereo rolls the bass off at higher volumes

I have a Heigh10 in our JTA and JKU. There is a huge sound difference. But... there is a big sound difference from the 7" to the 8.4". So, to answer your question, yes there is.

I have the Stinger Heigh 10 and yes there is a difference in sound quality. But then I had already upgraded my speakers and added an amp to the OEM head unit. That alone improved sound. With the addition of the better head unit it elevated it again. I realize it's an expensive upgrade, but I feel it is well worth it. And having the much larger screen is nice too.

I’m an old school stereo guy. For $2k I could build a system that would massacre that one
